BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP
Who
can become a member of AMICCUS-C?
Membership in the corporation will be open to any college or university administration, student center, and student government or student association to which students at a Canadian college, university or technical school pay mandatory fees.
We
don't have a student centre at our school. Can we still join?
The lack of a student centre or union building does not restrict the
association or institution from becoming a member.
Is
AMICCUS-C just for general managers and senior staff?
Absolutely not! While almost half of our conference delegates are GMs,
the rest work have other valuable roles in student unions and centres
— in finance, operations, programming, bar and office administration,
for example. Many schools register a number of staff as part of their
annual professional development.
What
do we receive for our membership?
Membership benefits include regular mailings of our newsletter, "Campus
Vision," regional and national conference opportunities, networking/
information sharing via our e-mail lines and our web site, inclusion
in and copies of our Membership Directory, input into professional development
programming and voting rights at the Annual General Meeting.
What
is the institutional fee?
$400 payable by July 1st of each year (late fees apply after August 15). Membership runs from July 1 to June 30, and the fee is established by the membership at our Annual General Meeting. There is a $25 fee each year for additional staff members that subscribe to the AMICCUS-C listserve to a maximum of $100.
